We’re a husband a wife team who love reading and writing. We met when we were 18 and have been best friends ever since. We’ve always had shared interests—we even majored in the same thing in college. It was always our dream to open a business together, and now our dream has come true!

We set up Osoberry Press to share our books with the world. Sarah writes under the pen names S.A. Sebuchi and Sarah Saponaria. Makoto is hoping to release middle grade and picture books in the upcoming future. We live on five acres on the Kitsap Peninsula in Washington. It’s just a ferry ride away from Seattle, but feels like a world apart. On our property, we’re surrounded by Osoberry trees and love how the berries change from bright orange to deep purple during early summer. We infuse our books with the beauty that surrounds us, as we take inspiration from the lush environment of the Pacific Northwest. Thank you for visiting our website.
